Interactive Exhibit

One of the East Tennessee History Society’s (ETHS) goals is “Making History Personal.” Visitors to East Tennessee can virtually “Go to the Place” and “Stand in the Spot” using ETHS’s new tourism kiosk. Designed and produced by Media South, the kiosk sits in the museum’s lobby and shows all major (and many minor) historical sites in East Tennessee. Via a touch-screen monitor, museum visitors find site descriptions, driving instructions, and operating hours for each historic site, along with original photography by historical photojournalist L.S. King.
